Stanley Canyon had it's begining on the USAF Academy

There are some man-made lakes on the base and each year my family and I would fish for those elusive trout. Each time I took my young children they were more interested in the crawdads and sometimes the trout. However as they grew they learned that there were trails and reservoirs "up" in the surrounding mountains. One reservoir was Stanley Canyon. It was located at the top of the Stanley Canyon Trail. My oldest heard about this reservoir from several cadets that were being sponsored by my family and asked about it. The name remained in our minds. In 2018 Stanley Canyon was envisioned, annointed, and born.

Our veteran led company has a mission and that is to educate the next generation to our world of sport fishing. To accomplish this, we will build custom fly rods for discerning clients and from our profits we will buy fishing rod kits. These kits will be built by youth in our community. Then, when finished, we will take them to our local urban lakes to enjoy our world of sport fishing.
